Keep Christ in Christmas Contest

Students in grades 1st to 5th wll be participating in an art contest sponsoered by The Tablet. After creating a list together as a class off ways to "keep Christ in Christmas," students made a drawing that expresses one or more of those ideas.
Art & History Conest

The Queens Historical Society has a call for enteries to thier annual art & history contest, which is open to all Queens students in grades 3-5. Students are to pick a historical structure of thier choosing that is located in Queens (it does not have to be a landmak) and draw/illustrate it. Then students will write a short essay about the history/importance of the structure and why they picked it. We will work together with the computer teacher, Ms. Winter, to complete the research and essay requirement. Last year we had 3 winners from RA, so let's keep our fingers crossed for more RA Artists to win this year!
