Art Education Philosophy
As an art educator, I encourage my students to think critically and abstractly, take chances and risks, experiment with new and different ideas, techniques and media, work together and ultimately have fun through the art-making process. I believe that creating a supporting and enriching learning environment will help my students to develop their creative process and strong character skills, which will not only help them in my art class but also in their other classes and life as well.

A Little About Me
I come from a liberal arts background & strive to not only make my art lessons interesting & relevant to my student’s needs but also connecting them to the other core disciplines. I have been teaching for over 10 years, including substituting at charter & private schools and teaching at various after school programs & summer camps throughout NYC. I am also a freelance Museum Educator, having worked at The Museum of Modern Art, The Queens Historical Society and the Voelker Orth Museum.
